Beauty Banquet

I found this quiz over at the TikiBooKids blog and just had to do it.  Why not end my day with the confirmation that I am a terrible wife and housekeeper?  Sadly, it is something that I have always suspected.  Piles of washing waiting for me to get to it, meals thrown together and kids shuffled out the door barely in time for school…… 

Looking at the stunning clothes on the TikiBooKids blog only confirms it for me.  Needle?  Thread?  Sew?  Oh, for Pete’s sake speak in terms that I can understand!  

Compare yourself to the dream wife of the 1930’s and thank heavens that we have all escaped that era.  Even the Stepford wives would have failed the test.    Go on and try it for yourself.  If you get the perfect score I need to know who you are.  You should be in a museum!

Amber is an amazing stone.  The colour and richness is so varied.  We are lucky to have two beautiful amber pendants in stock at the moment.  One is stunning blue and the other is rich gold.  Both are made of pressed amber which is when smaller pieces are pressed together to form one.  The result is a lovely crystalised look.

These lovely pendants are set in sterling silver and they will be on special this week at Beauty Banquet.    They are part of our new section called Gemstones under $20.  Remember, postage is included.

What a way to start the day!  At 5.45 this morning I was chatting on radio 5AA with the wonderful Jeff Burzacott about Beauty Banquet and the Spring Style Hunt.  Considering my eyes were still glued shut and the cat was circling me like a shark waiting for his breakfast I think I did OK.   Jeff is very easy to talk to and very encouraging.  I had fun.  I hope there were lots of people listening and then stampeding to their computers to register for the Hunt.

Oh for crying out loud! I just climbed out from under my rock and realised I have not updated this since long before Shakespeare was a boy… You would not believe how much more of a drama I could make that. I hope they bring chocolate!.

I am frantic with an awfully big adventure, selling my soul to Google, just generally being Snow White to society in general. My day seems to be packed from sun-up to 11pm at which point I fall asleep on the couch. I am looking at rectifying this. Maybe tomorrow.

I won’t promise anything to you but I will make more of an effort to blog more often until the nice men in the white coats come back. Honestly! Unless of course the pool with the cocktail bar is heated!.
