The Lazy Bloggers Post Generator 28.07.08

Over at the Aussie Bloggers Forum they have solved the inevitable problem of bloggers block. How about the Lazy Bloggers Post Generator? Simply fill in the blanks and off you go.

Here is a little post I prepared earlier:

Oh for crying out loud! I just climbed out from under my rock and realised I have not updated this since long before Shakespeare was a boy… You would not believe how much more of a drama I could make that. I hope they bring chocolate!.

I am frantic with an awfully big adventure, selling my soul to Google, just generally being Snow White to society in general. My day seems to be packed from sun-up to 11pm at which point I fall asleep on the couch. I am looking at rectifying this. Maybe tomorrow.

I won’t promise anything to you but I will make more of an effort to blog more often until the nice men in the white coats come back. Honestly! Unless of course the pool with the cocktail bar is heated!.

There, my post is done.  Clever, isn’t it?

Do you have an online store? 22.06.08

The hardest part of having an online store is getting your name out there.  Listings and links are invaluable in spreading the word about your site.  Here are two places to promote yourself.

My Day Off Top Shops - a free link directory for the best shops around.  Go ahead and list.

Hooked On Shopping -  the site for shops that offer goods and services to Australians.  This has a special offer at the moment.  Buy a featured listing for $24.95 for the 12 months.  This is a saving of $10!  In addition, your site will be promoted on 2 of the top Aussie women blogger blogs!  What great exposure that is.  List now to grab this super special offer.

Hoist ‘em Up. 20.06.08

Nothing ages a woman as much as a droopy bustline.  There is something about visibly sagging breasts that screams of age or neglect.    Please note right now that I am talking about your look while clothed.  What happens in the privacy of your dressing/undressing space is none of our business.  We have our own gravitational nightmares to contend with.

The best anti-aging device you can spend your money on it a well fitting bra.  Please, treat yourself!  Treat yourself with respect!  If you have never done it before, go and get properly fitted.  It isn’t embarassing - well, what could be worse than a pap smear, right?  A correctly fitted bra will not only hold the girls where they are supposed to be, it can relieve the strain on your back and shoulders.  It will certainly be comfortable to wear.

Modern bras are wonders of science.  They can minimise you if you feel too ‘in your face’.   They can increase your size with padding or a little fluid fill so that you look, move and feel all natural.   One thing that they will all do is make you feel like a million dollars.

Now, go through your lingerie drawer and throw out the stretched, holey and ill-fitting bras.  While you are at it, sort out your lingerie drawer so that you can see what you actually have in there.  No, dust bunnies do not count.  A Good Sort has some great ideas for organising so if you need help then start there.

Once you have been shopping I want you to stand in front of the mirror and look at yourself.  See?  You look 10 years younger already.

Belly Dancing as Exercise 19.06.08

Any belly dancer will tell you that despite how graceful and alluring the dance can be, you will still do an excllent workout!  Belly Dance is great for strengthening the core of the body.

Your lower back and tummy muscles will become strong and support your body well.  Your legs will strengthened too.  The best thing about belly dance as a workout it that while you are prancing around in floating skirts or trailing a sheer veil you won’t notice the exercise.  You will feel graceful and fluid.  Well, after a lesson or two!

Beauty Banquet has introduced a great little set that comprises an instructional DVD and a lovely hip scarf.  The scarf is large so it can also be used in your hands, not just around your hips.  The DVD will lead you through the basic steps of the dance.

Ready hips?  Start shimmying!

Be the best you can be. 13.06.08

I saw this over at Pink Heels and related to is straight away.  That is what Beauty Banquet is all about.  We are dedicated to helping you be the best that you can be, and that includes all the wonderful quirks you have which make you unique.

Women have a tendency to put themselves down in comparison to other women, which is very sad.  Can you imagine a world populated with Barbie Dolls all agreeing to the same things?  There would be no arguments. certainly, but how dull would life be?

Be yourself and be proud.

More about colour 12.06.08

I believe that colour has an impact on us, and that we like our favourite colours for a reason.  When I come across a colour and personality quiz all rolled into one I can’t help myself but go ahead and do it.

It was the same with this one here which I did this morning.   My primary colours turned out to be Tapestry and Mosaic.  Surprisingly my secondary colours are the pinks of Morning Rose.  Huh?  Me?  Pink?

But then…………….

I clicked on each for more information about the colours and what they say about me.  I saw the colour palettes associated with them and I am so totally at home!  OK, perhaps I would not have chosen pink, but the palettes that go under the Morning Rose name are stunning.

Why not try it fo yourself.  You might be surprised as I was!
